EA SPORTS Brings Beckham, Zidane and Zlatan Together for the First Time in One Program

EA SPORTS has announced one of the most striking digital content projects in football in recent years. The company is preparing to bring together three legendary names who left their mark on football history — David Beckham, Zinédine Zidane and Zlatan Ibrahimović — for the first time in the special production EA SPORTS Presents: Icons of Football.

Set to air on July 18 via EA SPORTS’ official YouTube channel and Spotify, the program aims to go beyond the classic interview format and deliver an intimate conversation about football’s past, present and future. Hosted by sports presenter Alex Aljoe, the show is described as creating a natural, unscripted atmosphere rather than following a set script.

The Shared Story of Three Different Generations

David Beckham, Zinédine Zidane and Zlatan Ibrahimović are regarded as some of the most important figures in sports history, not only for the trophies they won but also for their impact on football culture.

Beckham, who became one of the most recognisable footballers in the world through his spells at Manchester United and Real Madrid, was also one of the key figures in football’s global marketing boom, in addition to his on-pitch success. Zidane, meanwhile, is considered one of the greatest midfielders in football history thanks to his technical ability, football intelligence and the World Cup he won with the France national team.

As for Zlatan Ibrahimović, his career spanning nearly 25 years saw him play for many of Europe’s biggest clubs, while his presence on the pitch and his unmistakable personality made him one of the most iconic names in football.

EA SPORTS’ new program will bring these three figures together at the same table for the first time, offering the chance to hear the key turning points in their careers in their own words.

According to information shared by EA SPORTS, Beckham, Zidane and Ibrahimović will also discuss the transformation football has gone through over the past 30 years, technology’s impact on the game, the next generation of footballers and the changes the sport may face in the future.

Thanks to the different eras in which the three legends built their careers, the conversation is expected to go beyond the pitch and explore football’s cultural and economic evolution as well.
